Students aren’t the only ones learning at OCSI! Staff are, too! How?
  • By studying our subject matter.
  • By reading the Bible.
  • By attending professional development days.
  • By observing other teachers.
  • By discussing books on best practices in education.
This semester, 10 teachers are meeting together on 7 Thursday afternoons to discuss the book Essential Questions: Opening Doors to Student by Jay McTighe and Grant Wiggins. These teachers represent every division of the school (kindergarten, elementary, middle school, and high school) and a variety of subject areas—math, science, art, social studies, and English. We are excited that what we are learning helps us even more effectively equip students to walk with God and impact the world for Him.
